For the first day of school, the kids asked for pasta with meatballs. This is slightly more complicated than the English muffin pizzas they requested last year, but we’ll get it done. I’m hoping for some nice greens from my farm share to go with it.
We’re also trying a couple new recipes this week. The shakshuka from Chop Chop magazine is a bit more exotic than our typical breakfast for dinner, but my daughter thought it would be fun to try. It looks delicious. And I’m making a big batch of barbecue chicken to have over a couple nights. The kids will have it in quesadillas one night, and we’ll serve it with vegetables from the farm the next night.
