These avocado deviled eggs are a delicious snack or addition to a lunch box. They’re so simple to make, and the flavor is amazing! I partnered with Shaw’s and Star Markets to create the content for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m a big snacker. I’d be happy to graze all day long and not have to put actual meals together for my family. That’s why I was excited to partner with Star Market and Shaw’s at their recent “Snack Better” blogger event, featuring lots of goodies from their exclusive O Organics® line.
It’s a priority for Shaw’s and Star Markets to provide organic food that’s both delicious and affordable to all of their customers. I was impressed to learn that the O Organics line, which can be found here in Massachusetts exclusively at Shaw’s and Star Markets, includes over 1,300 USDA certified organic products. You can find these items in just about every aisle and department throughout the store, and the price point is better than other national organic brands.
Healthy Snack Ideas
The O Organics line includes loads of high-quality, healthy snack options. I was happy to see several higher protein snacks, as well as lots of produce. Here are just a few of the delicious, nutritious organic snacks available:
- Individual hard-boiled eggs
- Italian sausage
- Cheese sticks
- Hummus
- Salsa
- Corn chips
- Grape tomatoes
- Baby carrots
- Frozen fruit
My kids are always hungry when they get home from school, and I can feel good about having these organic snacks on hand for them. If they need a quick burst of nutrients after a long day of school and sports practice, they can make themselves a quick smoothie with O Organics milk, yogurt, and frozen berries.
Avocado Deviled Eggs
The highlight of the “Snack Better” event for me was this new recipe I discovered for Avocado Deviled Eggs. Registered dietitian and O Organics spokesperson, Annessa Chumbley, shared her simple, healthy version of deviled eggs, featuring pre-packaged O Organics cage-free hard-boiled eggs.
It’s almost too simple to call this a recipe, especially since you get to skip the step of boiling the eggs. To make this delicious snack, simply cut the eggs in half, remove the yolk, and mix it with some mashed avocado and seasonings. The flavor is so delicious. It tastes like a gourmet appetizer.
For a different variation, try my classic deviled eggs recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 O Organics® Cage-Free Boiled Eggs
- ¼ cup Avocado
- 2 tsp Lime Zest
- ⅛ tsp Salt
- ⅛ tsp Pepper
- Sriracha sauce to taste
Instructions
- Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Transfer the yolk to a small bowl. Add avocado, lime zest, salt, and pepper. Mash with a fork until well combined. Spoon the egg yolk mixture into the boiled egg white halves. Garnish with Sriracha sauce.
