Larabars Real Food Giveaway: Larabars are one of the only real food packaged snacks you can buy, and they help make wholesome food available to all.
I love Larabars.
I’ve made many homemade versions over the years, and they’re one of my favorite healthy snacks to have on hand. While I enjoy the homemade varieties, it’s hard to beat packaged Larabars for convenience and portability.
Larabars are one of the few packaged snacks that qualify as real food. They’re made with a short list of minimally processed ingredients, primarily nuts and fruit. They’re sweetened naturally with dates and other dried fruits. All their bars are gluten-free and non-GMO, and many of them are vegan and soy-free as well.
Cashew Cookie is one of my favorite options, with just two ingredients (dates and cashews). Coconut Cream Pie is another delicious variety, made with just a few simple real food ingredients (coconut, dates, cashews, walnuts, and coconut oil). And I just tried Pineapple Upside Down Cake for the first time. Delicious!
Larabar Fights Hunger
The Larabar company was established with a goal of making wholesome real food available to all. According to the USDA, 1 in 7 Americans is at risk of hunger. In response to this crisis, Larabar is partnering with Feeding America and donating $150,000 to help fight hunger.
Easy access to whole foods is a key element to staying healthy. Families who are living under stressful circumstances want to feed their children healthy food, but it isn’t always easy. By creating a convenient packaged bar that’s widely available, the Larabar company has provided a better option for snacking.
My husband and I make it a priority to instill in our children a sense of responsibility for our neighbors in need. I like to take my kids to our town’s food pantry regularly so we can make donations to those who are stuggling in our community. We’ve done lemonade stands and birthday party collections to benefit our food pantry as well. Hopefully these small gestures are helping to nurture our children’s sense of solidarity with people in need.
You can help support Larabar’s anti-hunger initiatives by donating or volunteering at your local food bank. Any little gesture of generosity can make a big difference to those in need. Use the hashtag #ShareRealFood on social media to support the mission as well. Visit Larabar’s community investment page for more ways to get involved.
