Pacific Foods Steel Cut Oatmeal is ready to eat when you need a quick, healthy breakfast on the go. Organic, gluten-free, vegan
My family visited the Bay Area this summer, and we were on a tight food budget. If you’ve ever been to San Francisco, you know that keeping costs down can be a challenge. I was determined to make it through our week-long vacation on $10 per person per meal.
As we reached the last two days of our trip, we found ourselves in beautiful Tiburon, California. We were planning an early morning drive to Muir Woods the next day, and we needed a quick, affordable breakfast to nourish us before our hike. A restaurant breakfast was out of the question, so we stopped at Woodlands Market to see what we could find.
I was so happy to discover this Pacific Foods Steel Cut Oatmeal in the cereal aisle. We didn’t have a kitchen in our hotel, so this was exactly the type of thing we needed. I love steel cut oats, which are less processed than instant oats. I enjoyed the apple & cinnamon version for breakfast before we went to Muir Woods. It kept me full and energized well into the morning.
Pacific Foods Steel Cut Oatmeal is a certified organic product that comes in 5 different flavors, ranging from unsweetened and lightly sweetened to maple & brown sugar or apple & cinnamon. The flax & chia power flavor has a little extra protein and fiber. They all taste great, and they can be topped with fruit, nuts, and seeds for a hearty meal. I love the texture of this oatmeal. It reminds me of rice pudding, so it feels like a real treat for breakfast.
Have you tried Pacific Foods Organic Steel Cut Oatmeal yet? I’d love to know your favorite flavor, so please share in the comments!
WHY is Pacific Unsweetened Steel Oats not being sold anymore? Every site I try, displays them but you cannot buy them????
I lovelovelove oatmeal! Best breakfast ever (especially when I’m in a rush!) This looks super tasty! I’ve never tried Pacific Foods but the apple cinnamon sounds awesome!
