I hope you all had a great Fourth of July! We enjoyed spending lots of time outdoors with extended family. This is such a fun time of year, when schedules slow down and the pressures of the school year are well behind us.
We’ll be in and out of town a lot this summer, but I’m determined to make sure my farm share still goes to good use. I was able to use up a lot of lettuce and cabbage at our family cookout this weekend, and I tried Food Babe’s kimchi recipe with even more cabbage that came home. It was good but quite salty. I’ll have to keep looking for other kimchi recipes to try.
We’re loving the fresh raspberries from our garden this summer. It’s a struggle to keep the critters out, but my husband has built a fortress around the patch of raspberry plants. So far, it’s working! We’re celebrating with raspberry crepes on Monday night.
The rest of our meals this week focus on grilled goodies and other warm-weather favorites.
