These ten healthy Halloween desserts will help you to maintain a whole food diet while still enjoying Halloween. These recipes are perfect for fall!
Children are inundated with so much sugar during the Halloween season. Beyond the packaged candy they get from trick-or-treating, it seems like everywhere we go during this time of year there are unhealthy Halloween-themed desserts. From cupcakes with neon orange frosting to bowls full of candy corn, this can be an especially difficult time of year to maintain a whole food diet.
Fortunately, there are plenty of healthy Halloween desserts that you can make for your children. Here are several delicious examples of unique, homemade Halloween treats.

I have no problem letting my kids indulge in candy for one day, but in years past the Halloween candy has been around our house for months. Last year, I convinced my children to donate most of their candy after Halloween. We’re still working on where to send the excess candy this year.
In the meantime, we’re enjoying several of these healthy Halloween desserts instead of candy.
We send ours to a local homeless shelter. We actually collect it through the school and send quite a bit. The shelter is very appreciative.
Great idea, Sandy. It’s nice to hear that the school helps to coordinate the effort.
My kids trick or treat but then we come home I let them pick 5 pieces of candy and the rest goes in the trash. I have a few bags of unreal candy and other treats I give them as an alternative. We have done it that way for two years and it doesn’t bother them. I’ve thought of donating it but really, that stuff isn’t good for anyone. The trash seems the best place for it 🙂
Thanks for sharing your approach, Amy. It really is garbage, isn’t it?
Thanks for including my fudge in this great lineup! 🙂
Any time, Melissa. It looks delicious!
