  • 2 cups milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbs pure maple syrup or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of ground ginger to taste
  • pinch of nutmeg to taste


  • Place the milk, pumpkin puree, banana, vanilla extract, and maple syrup in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Taste the smoothie to see what it’s like without the seasonings. Then add the cinnamon, plus a pinch of ground ginger and nutmeg. Taste again and add a little more seasoning as needed. If you add too much, put in a little more pumpkin puree and milk until it tastes just right.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate.
