- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 2 1/2 lb ground beef
- 28 ounces tomato sauce
- 4 cups cooked beans
- 1 1/2 tbs chili powder
- 2 tsp salt or to taste
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
In a large pot, sauté the onion in the olive oil over medium heat until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the meat to the pot and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until all the meat is brown.
Add the remaining ingredients to the pot. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve warm. Some topping ideas include scallions, crushed tortilla chips, avocado, cheese, and cilantro.
