These 10 healthy, frugal Crock Pot recipes will help you to maintain your grocery budget. These frugal slow cooker recipes are great for meal planning.
The Crock Pot was a brilliant invention. Nobody wants to cook dinner when they’re hungry and the people around them are cranky. Making dinner with a slow cooker allows you to prepare the meal ahead of time when the pressure of 6 p.m. is still far off.
We all want to keep our food budgets within reason, and the slow cooker is a great resource for keeping homemade dinners affordable. These 10 healthy Crock Pot recipes each cost less than $1 per serving to make. By adding just one of these recipes to your meal plan each week, you’ll be able to bring down your grocery spending.
Many of these recipes yield 8 servings, so a family of four can get a backup meal by making them. Having a well-stocked freezer is the best defense against caving in and ordering take-out for dinner.

Healthy Crock Pot Recipes Price Breakdowns
I used my price chart to evaluate the cost per serving for most of these recipes. Your costs will vary, but this gives you a sense of the prices you can expect to pay for these recipes.
My price chart includes some organic ingredients and some conventional ingredients. Even if you upgrade to all organic ingredients, your cost per serving won’t go much above $1. If you grow some of your own produce, your costs will come down quite a bit for many of these recipes.
