This watermelon slushie recipe is the perfect cold drink for a hot summer day. It’s super easy to make this fruity treat in the blender. We can't stop drinking this!!

Watermelon is the classic summer fruit. It shows up at just about every summertime picnic and party, and it’s one of the few foods that everyone seems to like.

I love how refreshing and hydrating watermelon can be. It’s over 90 percent water, and it’s a great source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and antioxidants. This makes watermelon the perfect subject for a summer drink.

Watermelon slush in the blender

This watermelon slushie couldn’t be easier to make. All you need to do is chop the watermelon and place it in a blender with a few other ingredients.

For the slushiest results, you can freeze the watermelon ahead of time before blending it. If you don’t have a chance to freeze it first, this recipe also works using room temperature melon along with some ice cubes. Either way, this is pure refreshment on a hot summer day.

This watermelon slushie recipe is best served immediately after blending. Leftovers can be stored for a couple days in the refrigerator.

This watermelon slushie is the perfect refreshing summer drink! You have to try it! gluten-free, vegan

Check out this tutorial from Cutco about how to properly cut a watermelon. I’ve been doing it wrong for years!
