Smoothies are an easy, delicious way to get more fruits and vegetables into your diet.

Cranberries are the official state fruit here in Massachusetts, and we’re heading into the harvest season. I love to stock up on fresh cranberries when they’re on sale and store them in the freezer until I’m ready for them. Cranberry sauce is one of my daughter’s favorite foods, so it’s nice to be able to make a batch any time of year.

Cranberries are a rich source of antioxidants, and pairing them with orange juice in this smoothie provides a strong dose of vitamin C.

This simple cranberry orange smoothie recipe comes together very quickly because there’s no trimming, peeling, or chopping necessary. Just throw everything in the blender and enjoy!

  1. My husband and I enjoy this Cranberry Smoothie very much! I double the recipe and even add a few small oranges into the blender!!! I omit the Maple Syrup since it tastes very good without it. I buy a supply of fresh Cranberries when they are in season and stock up for the year! I freeze the cranberries to enjoy this smoothie year round!!! (TIP: Aldi’s grocery store has sold fresh bags of Ocean Spray Cranberries for just 99 cents each for the past 2 years!!!)
