After the season of holiday indulgences, I look for easy ways to get back on track with healthy eating. On a busy day, there’s nothing like a smoothie to get a quick burst of nutrition.
This golden smoothie is full of goodness. The fruity flavors are so refreshing, and the turmeric gives it both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. I like to have a glass of this golden smoothie with my breakfast to get my day started on the right foot.
Taste the smoothie after you make it, and add a little pure maple syrup if you think it needs it. It may not be necessary if your banana is nice and ripe. Either way, this is a delicious treat that’s actually good for you, too.

Healthy smoothie recipe
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1 large ripe banana
- 1 cup frozen mango pieces
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- Pure maple syrup to taste if needed
In a blender, place the orange juice, pineapple juice, banana, mango, and turmeric in the order listed. Process until smooth.
Taste the smoothie and add a little pure maple syrup if needed.
Divide between two glasses and enjoy!
